Topics include the challenge of ownership and management, planning and organizing a new business, preparing a business plan, location and layout decisions, controlling the business, selecting and managing staff, marketing, accounting, financial and legal considerations. Preparing a comprehensive business plan is a course requirement. Three class hours weekly.
