Analysis and practical application of the elements of logic as they apply on both a linguistic and formal level. Forms of argument; informal and formal fallacies. Determining validity and invalidity under Aristotelian, propositional, and predicate logic. Use of Venn diagrams; translating ordinary language into syntax appropriate to those logical systems. Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: MAT 136 College Algebra and Trigonometry or equivalent.
