Prerequisites: Consent of instructorThis course offers an opportunity to integrate learning from previouscourses that can be applied to the development of the NationalStudent Advertising Competition (NSAC) project. Students work inteams to approach marketing challenges. Through this combinationof experiential and applied learning students prepare a completemarketing and advertising campaign (plans book and presentation)that allows the team to compete with other universities at district andnational competitions. Admission is by permission of instructor toensure a variety of backgrounds appropriate to the client and research.The course functions as a capstone course for marketing majors andthe follow-on course for students having taken MRKT 401 in thefall. The trans-disciplinary nature of the course, however, makes itappropriate for students from other disciplines as well, such as graphicdesign, web development, performing arts, digital journalism, publicrelations, and global communication.
