This course emphasizes oral skills and conversation through the use of authenic language, cultural content, and authentic literary and journalistic readings. Each lesson provides thematic, lexical, and structural support for dynamic personal exchanges that are systematically guided. Three significant facets of human communication are emphasized: socialization, emotional connection, and dramatization. This class is intended for students who have completed elementary-level Spanish and can be taken concurrently with Intermediate Spanish. This course is not intended for native or heritage speakers.
