Description:
This course is designed to advance the professional development of fire service personnel engaged in the protection of life and property by fire prevention/inspection. It will instruct fire service personnel to effectively use the Uniform Fire Code in making inspections. The students will be instructed on the tools that are used to perform inspections and review plans for construction and fire protection systems. Students will demonstrate competency in the use of the codes and standards that are part of the code. This will be accomplished through testing and project assignments.
