This course presents the study of anatomy, physiology, histology and embryology of the head, neck, and oral cavity. Introductory lectures in general histology are presented. Other sciences are mentioned in reference to the musculature, blood and nerve supply, bones, landmarks, sinuses, and foramina of the respective areas. The significance of various structures in dentistry is discussed. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF ALL FIRST SEMESTER COURSES IS REQUIRED.
