This course is designed for students who are committed to exploring anthropology in great depth and who are interested in honing their critical and analytical thinking skills. The course is an introduction to the four subdivisions of anthropology, physical anthropology, archeology, linguistics, and ethnology. This course will study the use of the evolution of humankind, its past achievements, its capacity for and use of language, and the nature of culture and its variations.
