This course builds on what was mastered in Faux Finish I. Students will explore an advanced level of finishes utilizing inter-layered textures and multi-layered techniques. Students will also learn some basic furniture finishes and design and create their own floor cloth or folding screen. All steps are demonstrated and practiced, from surface preparation to color mixing to final protective coatings. Students leave the course with professional sample boards, a hand-painted piece of furniture or floor cloth that they can use as models for further work or as samples for potential clients and employers.
