This course will provide the student with an understanding of the uses of Doppler and color ultrasound in the diagnostic evaluation of vascular disease. Instruction will include a discussion of the principles of Doppler physics and instrumentation, hemodynamics, imaging protocols and proper scanning techniques for performing DVT and carotid artery studies. Classroom instruction will be coordinated with certain lab and clinical activities in the DMS 223. Prerequisite: DMS 206 Co-requisite: DMS 223, DMS 226 3/0/0 SP Course fee charged
