This course will explore the geological history of the earth, focusing on the geological evolution of the North American continent. Topics will include plate tectonics, erosion and deposition and the evolution of plants and animals. There will be two required field trips during class time to Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey to collect fossils and observe geological phenomena. (Prerequisite: ENVR 101)
