This course will provide continued study in the disciplines of oral embryology and oral histology. Additionally, it will introduce the Dental Assisting student to the dental sciences of oral pathology and pharmacology. Emphasis will be placed on the recognition and identification of normal oral tissues and anomalies, systemic disorders and related oral sequelae and the most commonly used/prescribed pharmaceuticals in dentistry. (Prerequisites: ADEC 110 and ADEC 111)
