The Medical History and Evaluation section of this course is designed specifically to help obtain and record accurately the patient's past and present physical condition and medication history to modify the dental hygiene treatment plan accordingly. The Medical Emergency section of this course will prepare the student for a specific role in the management of medical emergencies. Students will be able to recognize emergency situations and take appropriate steps in treating them with a team approach. (Prerequisite: ADEC-110)
