Prerequisite: CISM130 or department exam Students are introduced to computer forensics and the various skills needed to collect and analyze digital evidence for various uses. They will be shown various methods to properly conduct a computer forensics investigation, beginning with a discussion of ethics, while mapping to the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) certification. Students should have a working knowledge of hardware and operating systems to maximize their successes on projects and exercises throughout the course. (2006)
