Prerequisite: CRIM101 Study of local, state, and federal criminal laws including their classification, nature, evolution, and development. Both statutory and common law are explored as well as topics of the adversary system, such as principles of justification and excuse, laws of arrest, and the laws of search and seizure. Special attention is given to the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice. (2003)
