A course in intermediate algebra designed to help prepare students for precalculus courses. Topics include: factoring, rational expressions, rational exponents and roots, quadratic equations and inequality, variation, conic sections, relations and functions, transcendental functions, sequences and series, and the development of word problem analysis and solution. This course counts toward graduation but does not fulfill a general education requirement. Prerequisite: MAT030 or satisfactory basic skills assessment score / 4 credits.
