This course introduces students to the process and methodologies of planning, operating and evaluating a group tour package. Students learn various methods of selling, packaging, operating and promoting a group tour to select markets and the general public. Students are provided with the skills to operate a group tour movement; negotiate with suppliers; meet contractual responsibilities; handle reservations, documentation, legal responsibilities, and the ramifications of group tour management. The role and responsibility of the tour escort before, during, and after the tour is examined. Prerequisite: None / 3 credits.
