A study of certain mathematical topics beyond intermediate algebra necessary for the study of calculus. Topics include non-linear inequalities, functions and graphs, polynomial and rational functions, real zero of polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, complex numbers, systems of equations, sequences and series. Prerequisite: MAT110 or satisfactory basic skills assessment score / 4 credits. Offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer.
