This course is a continuation of ESL010 and provides the intermediate level (SPL Level 6/7) non-native English speaker with instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding spoken English. Emphasis is placed on developing the ability to read and discuss standard college works in English; ability to recognize and produce correct patterns in sentences and paragraphs; and the ability to combine paragraphs into correct and coherent compositions. Prerequisite: ESL010 or satisfactory basic skills assessment score / 3 credits.
