IThis course provides engineering technicians with the necessary mathematical tools to solve engineering problems. Topics covered are: scientific notation, units of measurement, review of algebra, functions, the trigonometric functions, right angle trigonometry, and vectors and oblique triangles. Prerequisite: A passing score on the arithmetic placement test or MTH 01 as a pre- or co-requisite. A passing score on the elementary algebra placement test and a grade of "C" or better in high school geometry and in high school algebra II, or a grade of "C" or better in MTH 08.
