Nursing practice includes the applicati n f the scientific principles and the perf rmance f basic psych m t r skills utilized in meeting client needs in varied settings. The r le f the nurse as pr vider f care, manager f care and member within the discipline f nursing are intr duced. Beginning assessment skills in the c llecti n and analysis f simple types f data are emphasized. The elements f critical thinking are intr duced thr ugh a variety f learning activities including j urnaling, case studies, Internet assignments and test taking skills. Service learning is intr duced in this c urse and f cuses n health pr m ti n and applicati n f newly acquired skills in a supervised setting.
