4 credit hours - Four hours weekly; one term. A study of equations involving derivatives of one or more variables. Topics include exact equations; separation of variables; first order linear; Cauchy-Euler equation; orthogonal trajectory; determination of integrating factor; Bernoulli's equation; linear independence of functions; Wronskian; differential operators; linear homogeneous equations with constant coefficients; method of undetermined coefficients; variation of parameters; reduction of order; Laplace transforms; spring resonance and electric circuit problems; systems of linear differential equations; power series solutions; numerical solutions; partial differential equations; and Fourier series.
