1 class hour 1 Credit Prerequisites: Admission into the Bachelor of Science in Education Program or Special permission from the Associate Dean of Baccalaureate programs This course is designed to prepare individuals to teach in Secondary Biology Programs or a combination of biological and physical subject matter areas. This course allows students opportunities to begin their pre-professional teacher portfolio, demonstrate writing skills and assess student disposition records to be kept throughout the remainder of their coursework. This course also presents students with qualitative and quantitative research skills, as well as current library and technology resources available.
