3 hours per week. Prerequisite: MAC 1105 with a grade of "C" orbetter, or a CLM score of at least 70. This course is designed to provide a study in mathematical ideas suitable for students in education fields and those needing course work for teacher re-certification. The topics covered will include number sense, concepts and operations, measurement, geometry and spatial sense, algebraic thinking, data analysis and probability. The topics are in alignment with the NCTM standards, the Sunshine State Standards, Marion, Citrus and Levy Counties math curriculum, and the FCAT.
