This course provides a fundamental, yet comprehensive, state-of-the-art exploration of quality control and continuous improvement-covering not only the principles and practices, but also the tools and techniques used in day-to-day quality operations. Presents tools and techniques of Statistical Process Control (SPC), benchmarking, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), experimental design, Taguchi's quality engineering, activity-based costing, and quality strategic planning. Presents sufficient theory to ensure a solid understanding of basic concepts and reduces mathematical techniques to simple mathematics or develops them in the form of tables and charts.
