3 hours per week. Prerequisite: ENC 1101 or equivalent. May be taken for credit without ENL 2012. Corequisite: ENC 1102. This course is an introductory survey of British literature. Emphasis is on thematic content and structural importance of poetry, fiction and drama of major authors of the period, including Wordsworth, Byron, Blake, Keats, Tennyson, Arnold, Browning, Joyce, Lawrence and Beckett. Please note that English Literature I is not a prerequisite.
