6 contact hours: 3 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours. This course is an advanced study of automotive electrical and electronic systems. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of electrical systems, engine operation, fuel systems and drivability diagnosis prior to enrolling. The course will concentrate on electronic vehicle controls including fuel injection, feedback systems, climate controls, and other computer controlled systems. Parts of the General Motors Specialized Electronics Training (SET) course will be used.
