Duties and responsibilities of the pharmacy technician working in an ambulatory setting. Emphasized topics include: inventory receipt and control; prescription and medication orders screening; computerized prescription processing; medical insurance payment procedures; patient information confidentiality and relevant regulatory, legal, and ethical issues; extemporaneous compounding principles; over-the-counter drug indications and contraindications, and effective customer relations. 1221.00
