Course is offered only on a pass/no-pass basis. Class hours: 48-54 lecture. Prerequisite: Placement recommendation by the ESL assessment test, or satisfactory completion of ESL- 641. Not Degree Applicable. A conversational approach to learning English. Conversation skills and language used in reading, listening, writing, and grammar form. Course builds fluency and comprehension. Eight hours of supplemental instruction in a Success Center that supports this course is required. May be taken twice. 4930.80
