Class hours: 48-54 lecture; 48-54 laboratory Prerequisite: Art 67. Corequisite: Art 68B, 68C, 468B, 468C, or access to a Macintosh computer (G4 or higher, equipped with course appropriate software). Transfer Credit: CSU Introduction to the practice, theory, history, and analysis of layout and typography, and the study of formal elements of typographic composition. Projects are directed toward both printmedia (poster, package, and magazine design) and computer screen based projects (web design,motion graphics for TV, business presentations, interactive kiosks, type and layout for CDROM).
