2 units; 1 hour Lecture, 3 hours Laboratory Repeatability: May be taken a total of 3 times. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Introduces the practical applications of traditional and modern metalworking techniques focusing on the history, development, and presentday practices used in the fabrication of architectural ornamental ironwork. Applied safety, MIG welding, oxy-fuel welding, plasma cutting, metal forming and traditional hot forging practices are included.
