3 units; 3 hours Lecture Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Methods to develop students' abilities in note taking, interviewing, information gathering, report writing mechanics and organization, and critical evaluation. Attention will be given to a note-taking system and recording facts in a logical manner. Students will write and analyze police reports to meet the standards of the Criminal Justice System. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Format. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU.
