4 units; 4 hours Lecture Prerequisite: SPAN 2 or equivalent. Corequisite: SPAN 50L. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Further develops skills acquired in first-year Spanish and reviews and expands grammar and vocabulary. Students study Hispanic cultures through reading and discussion of literary and cultural texts and develop writing skills. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Format. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU. Transfers to UC. CAN SPAN8.
