3 units; 3 hours Lecture Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Studies how and why people become criminals and examines many types of criminal behavior, such as serial killers, street gangs, child molesters and abusers, sex offenders, and organized crime members. Examines factors often found in the background of the offender. Includes field trips to correctional institutions and guest speakers. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU.
