4 units; 4 hours Lecture Prerequisite: FR 1, or two years of high school French with a grade of "C" or better, or the equivalent. Corequisite: FR 50L. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Practices and builds upon elementary speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing skills, with French as the primary language of instruction. Students communicate through class activities and continue study of French-speaking cultures. May be offered in a Distance- Learning Format. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU. Transfers to UC.
