Recommended Preparation: ECE 31 or 131 and or current experience as a caregiver for infants and toddlers; Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100 when taught in English, or concurrent enrollment in ESL 201A or ESL 220A or higher ESL level when taught in Spanish. Provides intensive study of some aspect of infant and/or toddler development for parents, caregivers, and personnel in childcare programs. Course content will vary with each offering, as will prerequisites. May be used in conjunction with ECE 135 for the 6-unit Infant-Toddler Specialization Certificate. May be offered in a Distance-Learning Format and/or a Bilingual Spanish/English Format.
