1-3 units; 1 hour Lecture Repeatability: May be taken a total of 2 times. Recommended Preparation: ECE 31 or ECE 131; ECE 53; eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100, when taught in English, or concurrent enrollment in ESL 201A or ESL 220A or higher ESL level, when taught in Spanish. Studies developmentally appropriate practices for creating curriculum for young children exploring the physical world. Topics may include: water, electricity, magnetism, and elements of basic physics. May be taught in Spanish as part of the Bilingual Spanish/English ECE teacher skills certificate.
