2 units; 2 hours Lecture Repeatability: May be taken a total of 2 times. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the Dental Hygiene Program and BIO 6. Corequisite: DH 173. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Presents fundamental principles of Periodontology: normal and diseased periodontium, the disease classifications, etiology and treatment. Emphasis is on clinical application. May be offered in a Distance- Learning Format.
