3 units; 3 hours Lecture Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100. Provides experience in the three levels of communication: one-to-one, one-to-few, and one-to-many. Emphasis is placed on understanding the dynamics of communication with major emphasis on verbal and nonverbal communication, cooperation vs. competition, conflict management, interpersonal communication, and mass communication. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU. Transfers to UC, with limits: COMM 2 & 10 combined-maximum credit-1 course.
