Provides a foundation for pharmacological nursing using the nursing process as the framework for presenting concepts and principles of pharmacology and drug administration. Legal and ethical issues, nursing responsibilities and client participation associated with medication administration are discussed. A nursing process approach is utilized throughout every aspect of drug study and drug administration Prerequisite: Entrance in the first semester of the ADN or VN program or evaluation by program director or instructor for skills and knowledge.
