Provides a foundation of the theoretical and technical knowledge base necessary in meeting pharmacological needs of the client in a variety of settings. Professional issues and concepts for nursing practice related to intravenous therapy are presented including techniques of intravenous therapy and intravenous drug administration. Prerequisite: Completion of first semester of RN program or current RN licensure or evaluation by program director for skills and knowledge. Hours: 36 lect. Offered: F, S.
