Provides further knowledge and communication skills in Japanese in all four areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In addition to the polite/distal style, the course further develops oral communication skills in other speech styles such as directed style and honorific style. One hundred new kanji (Chinese characters) are introduced. Prerequisite: JAPN B2. Hours: 90 lect. CCS: Liberal Arts and Sciences. Transferable: UC, CSU and private colleges. BC GE C.
