Lecture and hands-on research class which will develop a basic familiarity with libraries and information resources as a foundation for future research needs. Students will learn about different types of information resources, both in the Library and on the internet, and different search methods. Evaluation of resources, both print and electronic, is emphasized. Recommended: English Level 6. Hours: 18 lect. Offered: F, S. CCS: Liberal Arts & Sciences. Transferable: UC, CSU and private colleges. Note: Not open to students who have taken the equivalent course ENGL B34.
