Provides training to corrections staff. Examines the violent criminal, explains the reasons for inmate violence, and offers tools to de-escalate confrontations. Provides demonstrations and an opportunity to practice evasive defense tactics. This course meets the training requirements as set forth by the Corrections Standards Authority for counties participating in the Standards and Training for Corrections Program. Hours: 4 lect, 4 lab. Repeat: Unlimited. CCS: Occupational Education. Not Transferable: Not degree applicable.
