The examination and evaluation of evidence using scientific principles and procedures for use in a legal setting including forensic pathology (autopsy), entomology, anthropology, trace evidence (hair and fiber), fingerprints, serology, ballistics, and DNA. Emphasis on the importance of forensic evidence and science to exonerate the innocent as well as to convict the guilty. Recommended: Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54 lect. Field trips required.
