Techniques in estimating and scheduling for the building industry. Plan reading and the extraction of the information necessary to calculate quantities and costs are covered. The preparation of a cost breakdown for the use of a financial institution and a production schedule for the projects is completed in the class. The use of computer programs to calculate the cost and keep track of the scheduling is explored and practiced. Practice and theory are pursued. Recommended: CNST B1 or one year work experience in the construction related industry. Hours: 54 lect. Offered: S. CCS: Occupational Education. Transferable: CSU and private colleges.
