This course allows students to apply a variety of skills learned in other Communication classes. Students will participate in a variety of practical projects including: public speaking, leadership, project management, event planning, administration of programs, database management, speaking to members of the community and high schools and research projects. The goal of this class is to strengthen communication skills and broaden students' understanding of the discipline. Prerequisite: COMM B1 or COMM B2 or COMM B4 or COMM B5 or COMM B6 or COMM B7 or COMM B8, or evaluation by instructor of student's public speaking, interpersonal, and group skills. Recommended: Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54. Repeat: 3. CCS: Liberal Arts and Sciences. Transferable: CSU and private colleges.
