Provides an introduction to the history, philosophy and theories of child growth and development and the education of young children. Emphasizes techniques of observing and recording the development of young children from infancy to 8 years. Communicating to parents the value of age appropriate activities, and cultural sensitivity are also covered throughout the course. Recommended: Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54 lect/disc.
