16 hours total This short-term intensive four-week refresher course is designed to prepare students to enter the sequence of GED writing classes. This course covers the following topics: basic spelling rules, basic spelling patterns, variations for English sounds, rules for adding prefixes and suffixes, creating compound words, and commonly confused words and exceptions. All spelling words will be taken from the core list of GED spelling words found on the GED test. (R2)
