3 hours weekly This course is designed for students who are preparing to take the GED test. Topics include developing and improving skills in the following areas: listening, notetaking, study and reading strategies, reading comprehension, memory, use of study aids, time management, guessing strategies, multiple choice tests, essay tests, and subject-specific test taking strategies. In addition, students will develop skills in locating and evaluating Internet sites which focus upon practical and work place topics and study skills. Moreover, emphasis will be placed on actual GED test practice simulations with time constraints. (R2)
