16 hours total This short-term intensive four-week refresher course is designed to prepare students to understand and slove word problems for the math part of the GED test. This course targets specific strategies to solve different kinds of math word problems such as number and age problems, geometry problems, mixture and solution problems, motion problems, investment problems, etc. Students will be introduced to the sequential process of reading and comprehending math problems, translating math word problems into math terms, solving the problem, and interpreting the results.
